L'Oreal True Match Foundation Review

I've been meaning to do a review of this foundation for a good month now because quite frankly its amazing. I recently put it in my November favourites and I reckon is one of my 2015 favourites, stay tuned for that list!

If you know me or have read this blog for a while, you know I'm truly addicted to Estee Lauder Double Wear original foundation. It's truly the best foundation in the world for me and works 100% of time. I don't ever need to think about it when I put it on, it just works. However, since this little £9.99 beauty came into my life, I have cruelly shoved aside Ms Lauder and replaced with L'oreal True Match.

I had absolutely no interest in the foundation before the reformulation. In general I feel like I don't get on with high street brand foundation anyway, due to my incredibly pale skin. It's always orange and oxidizes so much that I just don't look or waste my money on it anymore. It wasn't until I saw that they had added two new super light shades to the True Match range that I got interested. I picked up the shade 1C/1N Rose Ivory and to my shock it matches up pretty well.

The coverage is Medium but very buildable. One sheer layer covers blemishes, dark circles and the bulk of my freckles but two pretty much photoshops my skin. I also find that once it is on its quite moisturising and doesnt make my skin cakey or crepey, only towards then end of day after having it applied for 12 hours or so, which for me is really good going and its how I want all my foundations to last. I apply this with a Real Techniques Face Expert face brush and it pretty much glides on.

I think this is a wonderful foundation, and even more so when you consider that its a humble £9.99 from the drugstore!

L'Oreal True Match Foundation is available to buy from Boots here, and all other Drugstores that have a L'Oreal counter.
