Cold Weather Skincare

I felt the seasons quite literally click this weekend. The dressing gown went on, the jumpers came out of storage and damn was my skin dry. I forget how much the cold weather effects my poor dehydrated skin. I made a few changes to my skin care regime this weekend, with maximum skin plumping and hydration in mind so I thought I'd tell you all about it!

Fresh Face Oil: This is my go to facial oil when winter swings around. It was something I discovered in December of last year by the aisle of distractions in Sephora. I knew I needed something super hydrating for a flight and its what I picked up. This is a blend of five different oils, Sweet Almond, Grapeseed and Seaberry to name a few. The combination of oils means it gives maximum hydration and brightens up dull winter skin.

Kiehls Balm: This is my absolute winter saviour. I wrote a post about it last year in more detail that you can read here, however this stuff is the ultimate moisture fix for dry skin. This is a balm to oil formula that deeply hydrates and plumps the skin. Its perfect for under make up, or to a apply a little thicker for a brilliant overnight mask.

Elemis Cleansing Balm: When the cold weather comes around, my stash of cleansing balms comes back out. They give you that extra boost in the winter that other cleansers don't thats why I love them so much for this time of year. The Elemis cleansing balm is a personal favourite, it removed every scrap of make up without stripping the skin. its also amazing to leave on clean skin for ten minutes as a mask!

Hydrating Milky Mist: This stuff is hydration in a bottle. Its packed with hylourinic acid and castor oil so instantly takes care of dry patches. This is my cold weather mist of choice this year as it packs such a punch.

Kiehls Hydro Plumping Serum: This is what I switch up my fave Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum with come Autumn time. As well as super dry, flaking skin I tend to get strange skin texture also due to getting more eczema in the Autumn and Winter. This product takes care of both ailments. It retexturises and rehydrates, an absolute winner. If you buy one thing from this post for your winter skin, let it be this.

What products to you add to your routine in the colder months?
