Everybody's Talking About: It Cosmetics CC Cream

So if you have been around the bloggersphere for any length of time, you know how quickly a product can get hyped up. I can name you so many product in the last year that I have been rushing out to buy because my favourite blogger has been obsessed with it. I wanna know what the hype is about! So I wanted to start a new series on my blog called 'Everybody's Talking About' where I test out these super hyped products and give you my real opinion. My first guinea pig is the IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream. Loved by many bloggers, most notably Anna from The Anna Edit. So lets get into the review shall we?

The IT Cosmetics CC Cream promises to be a super hydrating and anti ageing cream that gives you full coverage finish. It's supposed to 'diffuse the look of wrinkles, visibly minimise pores and give you a more radiant, supple and flawless-looking complexion' - a quote from the description on their website. Its good to note before going further that I have very dry, dehydrated skin, I find it hard for foundations to sit right on me and am always wary of anything with added hydration as my skin gulps the said hydration and leaves cakey looking pigment behind. The struggle is real. I also want to say that I wear the colour Fair, which was very hard to get hold of!

After using the CC cream for around 2 weeks I have a list of good points and bad points. On first use, the thing I notice most about the IT Cosmetics CC Cream is the smell. Its amazing, it smells like lemon Fanta. This is not only a refreshing scent when you are applying it at 6am, but a welcome break from the heady floral scents that accompany most other foundations.

I first tried this on one of our hottest days in the UK and man oh man did it stand up well against my sweaty forehead. It didn't crack, it didn't oxidise or change texture on my face at all, which really surprised me. Even some of my all time favourite foundations cannot cope with heat as well at the CC Cream did. On the note of being super hot, I was also really red as a result, and you couldn't detect any of my redness under the CC cream whatsoever.

I also want to comment on the effectiveness of the hydration in the CC Cream, as it was something I was worrying about before I started using it. Dry skin girls, this will be your actual holy grail, trust me. This is insanely moisturising. It feels like skincare as opposed to make up when you apply it, its truly outstanding. Usually, because my skin is so dry, with any foundation I have ever worn, I get the slightest bit cakey after 5-6 hours of wear, with this - nothing. It keeps my skin hydrated like a serum would from 6am until 6pm. I was really impressed with this and still continue to be!

I also think that wearing this has improved my skin. I was going through some seriously bad skin days/weeks when I first got this, spots for days, under the skin cysts and blackheads. I just couldn't stop breaking out no matter what I used. But since using the IT Cosmetics CC Cream I have had none of those issues and my usual recurring blemishes are no more. I don't think thats a coincidence.

Now onto a slightly bad point, the tube that it comes in has gotten thin, quite quickly since I started using this. The CC cream does state that it is full coverage, however I only find it to be medium coverage. This is fine but it does take two pumps to get it as full coverage. So if you are a gal who likes everything to be camouflaged then take note.

The Verdict: I think with this one after using it for a wee while I definitely believe the hype. Its very different to anything I have used before, the fact that it acts like skincare is something that you would find hard to find anywhere on the high street or from another high end brand. I think I'm going to have to put my beloved Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder to one side for now, because this is a new obsession and I can totally understand why this is such a hyped product.

You can get the IT Cosmetics CC Cream here for £35.

What do you think of the IT Cosmetics CC Cream, have you tried it?
